Paul Miles Visits Copeland

Paul is a results driven business leader with global expertise in all phases of team leadership, strategic planning, business development, and marketing and branding. He is an accomplished professional with over 22 years of industry experience and a proven track record of successful management and project leadership. Paul has a talent for building cohesive teams and possesses strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multi-million-dollar projects from the initial concept through completion, resulting in extensive growth. He is recognized for developing, implementing, and managing products, sales, and marketing campaigns. Furthermore, he is a high energy and effective leader with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills within domestic and foreign arenas. Paul founded The Academy for Athletes in 2007 as the first and only recognized sports consultation business in the nation with a full-time staff of specialists in various disciplines. The Academy’s mission is to provide athletes with an individualized “Game Plan for Life,” during their athletic careers with continued support after they remove their uniforms for the last time. Paul served four years as the Associate Athletic Director at his alma mater, the University of Nebraska. As a member of the Executive Team, his responsibilities included managing the Department’s corporate sponsorships, licensing, marketing, concessions, retail sales, game day events, spirit squad, alumni relations, and community outreach programs. Paul, a native of Princeton, N.J., was a high school All-American in both football and track. At Nebraska, as an I-back he lettered from 1983 to 1985 while becoming the fastest Husker. He played professional football as a running back for the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1986 to 1988. Paul launched the Miles 2 Go 4 Kids Foundation and throughout the ’90s provided significant funding and basic needs to support children with cancer and their families, including the Institute for Children with Cancer. He also served in executive positions for Nike, Pepsi, Bristol-Myers Squibb, WWF Entertainment, and Junior Achievement. Paul is a highly sought after motivational and leadership development speaker with experience ranging from the corporate, private business, athletics, youth, and the nonprofit arenas. Paul is a proud and distinguished member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporate.
