COPELAND CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY

COPELAND’s BLACK HISTORY CELEBRATION PROGRAM proudly occurred on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 1:30 to 3 p.m.   The program was extensively planned, and involved multiple student and staff acts that celebrated the myriad of achievements and cultural contributions of Black Americans.

Over 100 parents, guardians and family members were in attendance, and demonstrated their appreciation, for each of the twelve performances.   For over 90 minutes, students and staff put enthusiastically performed and featured Copeland’s several of our gifted young people and staff!

Copeland’s school family is particularly fortunate to have the talents of the following staff: Erica Hundley, 1st Grade teacher, LaToya Wiley 2nd Grade Teacher, Azhaneet Blackwell, Music Teacher, Dolores Snow, Kindergarten Paraprofessional, Lorenzo Gonzalez, Parent Liaison, and several other staff members.

Principal Michael D. Rosenberg stated that the program “demonstrated the best of Copeland’s multi-talented students and staff for a most appreciative audience of parents and extended family members”.
