Hispanic Heritage Celebration at Copeland
On Friday, October 20, 2023, Dr. Crosby Copeland Elementary School and families celebrated the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America with a Hispanic Heritage Program. The Hispanic Heritage Program included “El Coqui,” performed by kindergarten students. 2nd-grade students presented Latin American Games. Ms. Blackwell, the music teacher at Dr. Crosby Copeland Elementary, led the third-grade students in singing “Remember Me.” The celebration ended with a “Columbia Dance” by 1st-grade students. The celebration was a success because of the excellent staff, students, and families at Dr. Crosby Copeland Elementary.
