      1. Approximately 10 student teachers w/Supervisor coaching
      2. TCNJ 20 student teachers providing intensive on a 1:2 ongoing basis throughout the week
      3. TCNJ Graduate Class of 18 students providing in-class, small group support for grades K-5 w/more emphasis on NJSLA standards.(POWER HOUR)
    7. PRINCETON UNIVERSITY ATHLETES READING/MENTORING w/K-3 classes,
    8. PRINCETON UNIVERSITY’S FOOTBALL TEAM of 70 PLAYERS AND 4 COACHES DAY at COPELAND on November 17 to mentor and provide social, emotional and academic support and encouragement.

  6. SAFE & SECURE CLIMATE/ENVIRONMENT FORTEACHING AND LEARNING

 

  1. Daily School Community Meetings w/Staff and Student led by the Principal w/Positive Affirmation Messages, News of the Day, and Briefings (Grades K-3).
  2. Class-based morning meetings by teachers w/students for

    “checking in and checking oneself”.   Soft music playing during in-class breakfast and readiness activities for teaching and learning.  Mindfulness and self-reflection time allocated.  “Calming areas” established, “Restorative Justice” initiative introduction to staff with intensive daily, weekly counseling sessions with students, parents/guardians, institutional representatives, and relevant personnel.

  3. First Six Weeks of School effectuated across all grades with fidelity.
  4. 2nd STEP Conflict Resolution, Values Clarification and social emotional support programming effectuated across all grade levels.
  5. Daily/Weekly Meetings w/Building Custodian (and staff) to discuss maintenance and operations, issues and concerns.
  6. Building Walkthroughs to monitor building conditions held on a daily and ongoing basis.
  7. Reviewing and monitoring Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities on a regular, ongoing basis w/Novice Custodian, his staff, Technicians, Mechanics, Electricians, Plumbers, HVAC craftsmen, and Supervisors (Larry Loper), and Director Dwayne Mosely.
  8. Daily/Weekly meetings w/staff and TEA representatives to address and problem-solve school-wide concerns and issues.
